DODGE toothed belt drives

In industry, gear belt transmissions are widely used. They not only transfer mechanical power from the drive shaft to the driven shaft, but also compensate for shock loads, vibration, small misalignment between the shafts and their displacements. Dodge toothed belt drives ensure synchronous rotation of the drive and driven shafts. Several types of pulleys are available with curved, reinforced parabolic (RPP) and trapezoidal tooth profiles.

HTR and HTRC toothed belt drives

This is the latest generation of Dodge timing belts. The Dodge HTR and HTRC Tracker ™ pulleys have a Reinforced Parabolic Profile (RPP) tooth design and the belts have teeth for a deeper fit in the pulley than standard belts.

  • Advanced RPP tooth profile. The design distributes the load between the belt and pulley to increase the transmitted torque and dynamic transmission efficiency. The unique design also allows for a more compact transmission.
  • More even contact between the pulley and belt teeth. The matched RPP teeth shape provides greater and more even contact between the pulley and belt teeth, which helps to increase the transmit power rating.
  • Unique RPP tooth shape. The RPP tooth shape provides better contact at the bottom of the tooth, resulting in improved cord support, reduced wear and reduced transmission noise.
  • Higher power handling capacity. The HTRC belt is designed for use with Dodge Taper-Lock HTRC pulleys. It allows the design of drives with a higher power density as an alternative to traditional V-belt and chain drives.
DODGE toothed belt drives Specifications
  • Toothed belt transmission eliminates slippage and ensures reliable performance
  • Lubrication-free for reduced maintenance and reduced downtime
  • Corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials ensure long service life
  • Modern fiberglass cord provides excellent tensile strength and does not absorb moisture, thereby preventing belts from shrinking and stretching
  • Width: 8 and 14 mm
  • No tension adjustment required
  • Compact design
  • Reinforced parabolic tooth profile
  • Allows the transfer of mechanical power, eliminating slippage and speed variation at high torque loads
  • The low belt tension required for power transmission reduces the stress on transmission components such as bearings of gearboxes or electric motors
transmits power at speeds up to 3,050 meters per minute. Standard execution – up to 1,980 meters per minute
  • Improved belt and pulley grip characteristics
  • Reduces pulley wear due to friction

Toothed belt drives HT and HT200
The HT200 uses a modified curved tooth profile to provide a compact and cost-effective solution. HT200 transmissions allow 200% more rated power transmission than traditional HTD transmissions.

  • HT Taper-Lock pulleys contains Taper-Lock ferrules for high compactness. Combining the increased power handling capability of HT belts with the Taper-Lock hub pulley design maximizes power density while reducing external radial load. In addition, HT Taper-Lock pulleys take up less shaft space than comparable power QD pulleys.
  • QD HTD pulleys are designed to handle the power rating of standard HTD curved tooth belts.

Specifications

  • Pulley versions with full range of TAPER-LOCK and QD bushings, as well as a version with a minimum bore
  • Available in 5, 8 and 14 mm steps
  • It is possible to manufacture non-standard pulleys with a design, material and number of teeth on request
  • Toothed belt transmissions of the HT200 profile with a modified curved tooth profile
