DODGE V-Belt Components

V-belt drives transmit power by means of friction created by the ripping action of the belt in the pulley groove. These low-noise, low-cost products require low maintenance and offer a gear ratio of up to 10: 1.

Benefits:

  • Ideal for applications with speeds in excess of 500 rpm
  • Belt slip during overload protects other, more expensive equipment from load surges.
  • Service life: up to 25000 hours.

V-Belt Pulleys: All Dodge V-belt pulleys are manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards with precision machining to meet or exceed RMA / MPTA (Rubber Manufacturers Association / Mechanical Gear Manufacturers Association) industry standards to ensure smooth operation for longer belt life.

Specifications:

  • Construction in gray cast iron with anti-corrosion coating
  • Several versions of pulleys: rim and hub can be combined, connected by disc or spokes
  • Statically balanced for speeds up to 6500 rpm (33 m / s)
  • QD pulley available in standard and heavy duty designs.

Types of belts and their advantages:

  • V-belts D-V (3VX-5VX-8V). Dodge D-V V-belts are oil-resistant, pressed internally, ribbed V-belts for compact and lightweight transmissions. They are designed to operate at rated power with minimum elongation.
  • Classic belts S-L (A-B-C-D). Classic Dodge S-L belts can handle high impact loads and provide greater stability in long center gears.
  • Classic corrugated V-belts (AX-BX-CX-DX). Providing maximum flexibility, these classic Dodge corrugated V-belts are molded and highly energy efficient. They allow more power to be transmitted with fewer belts in transmission.
  • Double-V belts (hex). Dodge Double-V hex belts are designed for loop gear and transfer power from both sides. They are oil resistant, come in a variety of profiles including AA, BB, and CC and use standard pulleys.
  • Dodge Polyband belts are designed to withstand problematic transmissions where vibration, shock, or misalignment can cause the belt to roll or sag. Two or more belts are combined on one belt, allowing the use of standard pulleys.
